School Reforestation

One of the major programs of the Howard County Forestry Board is school reforestation. Not only does this give us the opportunity to plant buffers, and reclaim naturalized areas, but we get to involve young people in the program. Teaching the value of trees, the objectives of reforestation, and the correct methods of planting and caring for our forests can have a long range impact on the beauty, the livability, the vitality of our County for many decades.
