The Howard County Forestry Board mostly works behind the scene in support of the trees in Howard County. Every now and again however we make the front page (or some other page) with our new programs, our new arboreta, and our new efforts to involve Howard County citizens in recognition of our natural resources.

Among our special events which have made the news are:

A collaboration between the Forestry Board and Howard County's GIS department, this map direct visitors to the lovely trees planted throughout the office complex. The map works on traditional web browsers as well as mobile devices. The Howard County Forestry Board has placed identification signs at 41 of these trees.
